BLDO - Business Lines Data Officer (Biz)

Mission

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring compliance of the data strategies and initiatives defined and agreed with the ADO, for the data domain/s under his/her responsibility


Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and monitoring compliance with ADO policies, processes and standards
    • Establish data performance metrics and KPIs following the ADO guidelines.

    • Monitoring and measuring data quality, data availability and data utilization

    • Dataset metadata. All the relevant data related to the dataset (Description, data use cases, risk levels, etc.) are correctly fed in Collibra

    • In collaboration with R&D, designing and implementing a data architecture within the data domain (data models, name conventions, …)

    • Conducting regular assessments and audits to evaluate data management effectiveness and dataset information is up-to-date

  • Security and Compliance
    • Engage with Legal and CISO Office (BISO) to ensure security, legal & compliance requirements are addressed across the data domain

    • Actively collaborate in the identification and resolution of data security issues (E.g., facilitate the collection of data to complete a data subject access request)

  • Data ownership and accountability
    • Every dataset within the domain has a data owner assigned, and it’s maintained up to date. Ownership changes are addressed in a timely manner

    • DO**s are adequately **trained and are knowledgeable about the dataset nature to make decisions on the use case requests

    • Data related OKRs are agreed with the DO’s line manager and defined in Workday

    • Individuals are nominated for the supporting roles from CISO office (BISO & TISO), LEG and R&D, and there are mechanisms in place to ensure dataset lifecycle related activities are performed in a timely manner

    • DOs have back-ups to ensure continuity of the role functions when not available (E.g., holidays)

    • Continuous support to the DOs on the escalated issues

  • Data collaboration and integration
    • Coordinating data sharing and data exchange initiatives with other DDDOs

    • Ensure data interoperability and consistency across systems and domains, in collaboration with R&D

  • Training and Education
    • Providing training and education on data management best practices within the domain

    • Raising awareness of data-related policies, regulations and standards

    • Promoting data literacy and data culture within the business lines using the data domain’s data sets

  • Relationship with the ADO
    • Accountable to execute the ADO guidelines

    • Proactive participation on the ADO activities and roadmap definition & roll-out

    • Escalate any issue where the ADO involvement is required for resolution

    • Regularly report data domain performance following the ADO guidelines

    • Support PMs when performing the ADO Check at the PLC

    • Enabler for the data value opportunities coming from the Data Value Forum (DVF)
