Like airport supervisors who ensure operations are carried out in accordance with strategic plans and objectives throughout all airport terminals, the ADO monitors that data quality practices are conducted in compliance with the enterprise policies and standards as defined in the Data Quality Framework.


CEDO (Central Data Office) responsibilities in the management of the Data Quality framework are the following:

  • Framework design: Design and maintain the organization’s data quality framework, including methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Data Quality framework oversight: Oversee the adoption of the data quality framework and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Standards development: Establish overarching data quality policies and standards to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.

  • Templates delivery: Provide actionable templates to enforce standards and ensure consistency and compliance with data governance standards.

  • Quality Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of data quality across all business units and data domains to identify areas for improvement.

  • Issue Resolution: Resolve data quality issues at company level, leveraging resources and expertise from various business units as needed.

  • Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to Business Data Offices on data quality best practices, tools, and techniques.

  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor data quality metrics and provide regular reports to Data Governance Advisory (DGA), highlighting trends, issues, and improvement opportunities (Ref 1).

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality processes, standards, and controls.
