Progress monitoring

As the enterprise deploys Data Quality remediation practices across teams, it is essential to be able to measure progress, identify key challenges and implement relevant actions to sustain practice improvements.

The following standardized assessment template is proposed to conduct the evaluation on data quality remediation practices at a regular cadence.

The following aspects are considered when evaluating the progress made by BDOs on Data Quality remediation:

• Standards Adoption: evaluates the BDOs progress in reviewing the proposed standards, proposing potential amendments that are specific to their context and validating the standards for their use.

• Stakeholder identification and Target resolution time: evaluates the progress made by BDOs in putting in place key prerequisites for the execution of remediation tasks such as assigning responsibilities and defining target resolution time.

• Incidents resolution: ensures that remediation processes are implemented and results are made accessible to the relevant parties, like BDOs, Data Owners, Data Stewards. This helps evaluate the actual progress made in putting in practice data quality remediation guidelines and standards proposed by the Data Quality Framework.
