Progress monitoring

As the enterprise deploys Data Quality Monitoring practices across teams, it is essential to be able to measure progress, identify key challenges and implement relevant actions to sustain practice improvements.

The following standardized assessment template is proposed to conduct the evaluation on the state of data quality monitoring practices at a regular cadence.

The following three aspects are considered when evaluating the progress made by BDOs on Data Quality monitoring:

  • Standards Adoption: evaluates the BDOs progress in reviewing the proposed standards, proposing potential amendments that are specific to their context, and validating the standards for their use.

  • Data Quality Monitoring Dashboard implementation: encompass the practical steps of setting up and launching the data quality dashboards that have been developed under the “Standards Adoption” theme. It indicates the action of putting guidelines and standards proposed in the Data Quality Framework into practical use.

  • Data Quality Monitoring Dashboard availability: ensures that the dashboards are not only implemented but also made accessible to the relevant parties, like BDOs, Data Owners, Data Stewards as well as ADO and DG Advisory Board. This helps evaluate the actual usage and dissemination of data quality monitoring throughout the organization.
