Airport terminal managing teams are responsible for carrying out operations within their designated scope and can be assessed on performance criteria such as service effectiveness, passenger satisfaction and safety. They operate individual terminals, each with its own specificities but all compliant with overarching regulations and objectives, ensuring a consistent and effective management. Similarly, BLDOs are responsible for implementing data quality measures for their perimeter in accordance with the Data Quality Framework to ensure consistent data quality management throughout the enterprise. Their progress can be measured using common criteria.

BLDO (Business Lines Data Office) responsibilities in the management of the Data Quality framework are the following:

  • BLDOs adapt and implement the centralized data quality framework to fit their specific business domain’s needs, while adhering to the overall policies and standards set by the Central Data Office (CDO),

  • BLDOs work closely with Business Owners and Data Stewards to understand their data quality requirements, define data quality rules and metrics, and ensure proper data ownership and stewardship within their domain

  • Monitor and report on local data quality initiatives: BLDOs monitor and report on data quality metrics specific to their business domain, communicating results to the ADO (Ref 1),

  • Communicate data quality issues, and improve initiatives to stakeholders within their business units, fostering awareness and accountability,

  • Collaborate with the Central Data Office and other Business Data Offices to share insights, best practices, and lessons learned in data quality management.

Data Quality Framework adoption measurements at BDO level is done through an assessment on a set of standard dimensions. Please refer to standard dashboards (Ref 1).
